Rendezvous with the one

Puneet Talwar calls himself "the one". Now although he bears no physical, mental or spiritual resemblance with one Mr. Andersen....he is nonetheless a very unique person and a very good friend. My first moment with the big guy was a pretty funny incident....Back while we were in class 10th Mr. Talwar(puneet's dad) had come to school and met our class teacher uccho. a.ka. chavanni....Now being one of my sanskrit teacher's favorite students, i was sent to meet with puneet's dad as he had certain questions about the school and its students....So i went up to Mr.Talwar...and the first words he told me was..."My son looks BIG". Although i did not see him that day the very words that uncle used made my imagination run wild. I also got to know that he had got a perfect 100 in maths....
Having a name called Talwar...pretty intimidating...
Having a name called Talwar and being humongous....a bit scary....
Having a name called Talwar, being humongous and also a topper in class now that scared the shit out of me!!!
I was indeed looking forward to meet him as i have a peculiar tendency of making good friends with people who are intelligent...
It was agreed that puneet would come to my house and take some class notes from me. It was about 7:30 in the evening that the Talwars came to our house. I ushered them into my house and i was surprised to see that Puneet had not come...instead his big brother had come. I was almost about to ask why puneet had not come but at that moment uncle introduced the big boy as puneet. For a moment or two, i was dumbstruck at the fact that such a huge person could be of my age (FYI puneet is two years older than me :))
The first words that came out of his mouth : "Maths ki book dhikha de". Without even an introduction of who he was or where he came from he started ordering me to show my notebooks in a gruff voice that i did not seem to comprehend....
The rest as they say is history......
Puneet has always been a good friend (although a bit selfish) His antics always make us laugh and his mannerisms are worth watching!!!!!

My Time with Os@m@ - I

When I first got the insider report that a certain 'Talwar' guy with khatarnaak academic credentials - includinfg a 100 in Maths - was going to join us in class 10, my first reaction was that of murderous rage.

With topper of (absurdly high marks waale) toppers Amit Sharma already in my class, and Srivatsan and Hari easily bagging the remaining spots in the top three, I was already hard off. Considering the fact that us waqt mujhko aur kuch aata hi nahi tha, any further addition to this venerable (execrable?) list of competitors was guaranteed to raise my BP (blood pressure, not to be confused with Bharat Petroleum).

I had been told he was tall (6 feet), but there was no more mention of his other physical attributes from my source - Deepak Choudhary. Consequently, in my growing fury, I proceeded to remark that "Is Talwar ko to main kaat ke Chhuri bana dunga".

What I had said in the heat of the moment came back to haunt me for weeks after Puneet first came to school.Upon my witnessing his 'impressive' vital stats from point-blank range, imagine my predicament when Deepak Choudhary - acting as a (paid?) escort for the big fella' - gleefully reported my aforementioned statement, along with an accurate rendition of my threatening physical posturing at that time.

Main to jaan bachake bhaagne ki koshish me tha. Luckily, the big guy shrugged it off.

Greetings : Hello World

Bonjour...Aloha.....!!!
My name is Arkantos a.k.a Srivatsan popularly called by my special group of friends as Gujju. Please bear in mind that i'm not a Gujarati and i have absolutely no idea of why and how i got that weird name. Being the mastermind behind the blog's name..(or an idiot...whichever you may prefer...) i would like to explain the deep and inherent meaning of the title. As deepak rightly stated Bunker refers to a place or a zone (generally used by the army) in which you are holed in...shielded (partial and temporary) from the outside world and the outside world shielded from you. The bunker is a place where actually one contemplates, theorises, plots and introspects for sometime before dashing out in the open and being subjected to all kinds of material forces which renders you vulnerable and sometimes leaves you in crises making you incapable of producing logically constructed ideas. The Bunker in our case may represent our colleges/hostels where we lie dormant( as the world is letto believe) before we spring outside in to the world.

On a more lighter and colloquial mode..a bunker is a person who bunks/abstains from going to his classes as it gives him a sense of joy and light-heartedness. Not to mention the fact that instead of dozing off in the classroom where the incapable lecturers brood over inconsequential matters and engulf you in aura of inescapable boredom...it is better to head off to the cafeteria and enjoy flirting with the chicks ( a very hypothetical situation...) or to go back to your room and do what you enjoy the most....( playing, sleeping etc. a more practical situation....)

Now we come on the second part.....the number 69. Now sixty nine is a very special number. We have always grown up with sixty-nine somewhere etched in our memories....Bryan Adams' Summer of 69 which caught all of us by storm....the fact the man landed on the moon and on 1969 (or that is what NASA tells us) and other famous instances. However the number 69 has much more deeper significance...it represents the union....the 1:1 amalgamation of two distinct but opposite things....male and female, good and bad, fire and water...yin and yang. It represents the equilibrium and stability of the world in which we live in.....

Now coming back to the real world there are a lot of blogs that you can expect from me...a review of harry potter and the order of the phoenix(movie)....harry potter and the deathly hallows..i have read it but i will give you people time to read it thoroughly before i spoil the plot for you....some blogs about our new hostel and stuff....

Blog tight and don't let the blast-ended skrewts bite....
Arkantos
